Martha Gaudreault has been an educator for 26 years. She has taught in Peru, Ontario, and British Columbia. Martha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from The Sacred Heart University for Women and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from OISE University of Toronto. She is currently undertaking a second Master’s degree in Leadership from Western Washington University. Martha is a person of high standards and professional ethics who is a representative of the School Base Team, a Teacher Leader and a member of the Principal’s and Vice-Principal’s Leadership Team. She has spearheaded school-wide community projects promoting social justice. She is an advocate for Truth and Reconciliation who educates students about the tragic history of Residential Schools. Moreover, Martha is a Mentor Teacher and a trained Reading Recovery Teacher. She is fluent in both Spanish and English. Her passion is to build a strong and solid literacy foundation in the early years of child development in order to equip students with the skills necessary to become successful.
