Work experience is an important way for young adults transitioning from education into the labour market to develop the necessary skills needed, build their confidence and grow their professional network. It is also a great way for job seekers to get back into the job market after being out of the work force for whatever reason.

As a community organization grounded on productivity and results, we are thrilled to announce our Work Experience Opportunity Grant Program which is funded by the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction as a response to the job crisis resulting from COVID-19. Individuals who are qualified to receive income or disability assistance as well as Indigenous individuals on reserve qualified to receive federal assistance can benefit greatly from this program.

We work with eligible participants to identify their goals and interests so that we can offer placement that will achieve those needs. We provide flexible hours and ongoing support in a relaxed and friendly environment to ensure they get the most out of this work experience.

As part of this program, we also connect participants with other programs and services within our community organization that we believe can be of extra help to them so that they can make a smoother transition into the world of work.

At the end of this program, we hope participants would have gained the confidence and acquired the skills they need to get hired in a desired role and be able to increase their performance and value in the workplace.
